If You've Been Injured You Need An Experienced Trial Lawyer

If You've Been Injured You Need An Experienced Trial Lawyer
11-24-06

If your personal injury just occurred, why be concerned that the lawyer you hire actually be a trial lawyer?   While some studies show that 90% of all personal injury claims are settled before trial, why worry?   The fact is simple, when you are dealing with the insurance company, you want to be assured that the insurance company's assessment of your case includes the fact that you have an experienced trial lawyer representing you.  Not only can an inexperienced lawyer increase the risk of an unfavorable outcome, insurance companies know the lawyers that are inexperienced.  They also know who the lawyers are who take cases to trial and those who don't.

If an insurance company thinks your lawyer is inexperienced or that he or she won't take the case to trial, this could very likely lead to a dramatically lower case settlement offer.   When you have a claim, you want to have the peace of mind that the attorney representing you will obtain the insurance company's best and highest settlement offer and that if the insurance company isn't treating you fairly by offering really low settlement offers, that your attorney knows how to find the courthouse and has the experience to present your case and evidence in the best possible way.   You also want to rest assured that if your case is going to trial that your attorney knows how to prepare you for the pre-trial meetings required of you as well as prepare you for the trial itself.

The trial attorneys of Kelley & Lehan, P.C. have combined trial lawyer experience of over 100 years.  That's right, when you add up the years of trial lawyering among us, we've been at it for 100 years.   Since our firm's founding by Tom Kelley in the 1950s, we've been dedicated to fighting for our clients' rights and when that has meant taking the insurance companies and others to trial to do so, we're right there.
